Outrageously Insane Love!

Don’t you feel good when you know that you are loved by someone?

Yeah, it definitely feels good.

It feels good because to be loved is one of our deepest needs.

But do you know that our first deepest need is not to be loved but to first be known by someone and be loved next by the same people who’ve known us?

“For those God foreknew – – – He also justified; those He justified, He also glorified.” (Romans 8:29-30)

Yep! We love Jesus Christ because He died for us on the cross not because of “love at first sight” but first He knew us, then He loved us and then, listen to this, He said “Yes” when God the Father asked Him to die for us on the cross.

This is outrageously insane love!

And guess what? We’re called to exercise this kind of love; not only to love others but to let others love us in this way, by letting them first truly know us.

But it is too risky to let others know us, letting them know what flips us out or makes our hearts melt instantly, isn’t it?

Yes, it is but unless we are willing to let others know us, we won’t be able to taste and see what true love really feels like. ///
