Which Message?

The word “salvation” itself needs some kind of heavenly revelation from God for one to fully understand and appreciate it.

Here are two dictionary definitions to the word ‘salvation:’

“Preservation or deliverance from harm, ruin, or loss”

“Deliverance from sin and its consequences, believed by Christians to be brought about by faith in Christ”

Well, I cannot take the first definition at least for this post because Christ didn’t save me from harm, ruin or loss. I mean, how do you save a dead person from harm, ruin or loss? You know what I mean?

As the Bible says, I was dead in my “trespasses and sins” (Ephesians‬ ‭2‬:‭1‬ ). So Christ delivered me from sin and the consequences of sin.

Death is the consequence of sin as the word of God says, “but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.”Genesis‬ ‭2‬:‭17‬ ‭ESV‬‬

And Paul writes, “the wages of sin is death.” Romans 6:23KJV

So I am a Christian means, I was dead but now I am alive today and to continue living for ever more!

Is this a science fiction or what to say, “Dead people are now alive and walking around?”

Yes that is what Christianity is all about and that is what salvation is all about.

But why? Why did God save me through Christ? Why did He raise me up from death?

No answer except for me to say, “Thank You, LORD, for saving me.”

If Christians have a desire to hear other messages than their Savior, the One who raised them from death, there is a high chance that they are still dead in their sin.

Are you a Christian? Do you have a desire to hear about your Savior or about how you can be successful, prosperous, healthy and wealthy in this life? Which message gives you peace and  rest: About how you can enjoy this life to the fullest or how Jesus Christ prepares a place for you in heaven? ///
