This morning I read 2 Chronicles 12 and you have no idea how this chapter spoke to my heart.
Look at this verse:
“Then the prophet Shemaiah came to Rehoboam [the King of Judah, he is King Solomon’s son] and to the leaders of Judah who had assembled in Jerusalem for fear of Shishak, and he said to them, “This is what the Lord says, ‘You have abandoned me; therefore, I now abandon you to Shishak.’”” Verse 5
You know, when God takes us as His own, He means serious business.
“True freedom is not freedom from responsibility to God and others in order to live for ourselves, but [freedom] from ourselves in order to live for God and others ” ~ John Sttot
Another name for a Christian is “holy,” means, different, set apart from the world for the sole purpose of proclaiming/declaring the goodness and glory of God, the God who called us out of darkness into His wonderful and marvelous light. Continue reading Going With the Tide→
