Who Am I????

I am not sure who I am whenever I think of why God pursues me with an agape love, unconditional love.

You see, no one, let me say that again, no one can come to God by his/her own initiatives and desires.

The Bible says, we come to this world as “dead in our transgressions and sins” Ephesians 2:1

And we only know how to do life following “the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air” Ephesians 2:2

For us to know and follow God and His ways, we need something that is outside of us to wake us up from death.

That is why Jesus said, “No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them,” John 6:44a

Did you see that?

No one!

That is why John writes,

“We love because he first loved us.
1 John 4:19 NASB

And Jesus said,

“You did not choose me, but I chose you” John 15:16a NASB

After God, by His own will and prerogative, chooses to draw us to Christ, He pursues us to the end in a relentless, unending and unfailing love!

Who am I then to be loved like this by this Holy God?

I don’t know!

So agreeing with this singer, I say, “Who am I to be loved by you?” ///
