We Implore You

Before I say anything, let me remind you all something. So, I don’t know how many of you read the mission statement of the Appeal for Purity (A4P) on the Appeal for Purity website. If you haven’t, make sure you do that: www.appealforpurity.org.

In the mission statement of A4P, you will find the passage of Scripture that God gave me when I was in the process of naming my work (ministry) in the Kingdom of God, six years ago. That passage of Scripture is this:

“All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. 21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” 2 Corinthians 5:18-20

Therefore, whenever I write a message to post on Facebook/website or prepare a message for YouTube, I am appealing to my hearers so they will be reconciled with God in the area of life they need to.

Today, I am here today also to appeal to anyone who’s been drifting away from the love of God, from the God who adores them more than anyone and anything.

The Word of God says,

“My people have committed two sins:
They have forsaken me,
the spring of living water,
and have dug their own cisterns,
broken cisterns that cannot hold water. . .

Does a young woman forget her jewelry,
a bride her wedding ornaments?
Yet my people have forgotten me,
days without number.” Jeremiah 2:13, 32

Wow! God is “the Spring of living water.” Where can we go then separating ourselves from Him?

When we try to reject God or just simply drift away from Him, we always find ourselves trying to replace the place of God in our lives by something or someone. That “something or someone” that we bring to our lives, the Word of God calls them/it, “broken cisterns that cannot hold water.”

Wow! Just imagine! We collect as many cisterns as we can and put as much water as we can and bring those cisterns into our home. Then when we get thirsty, we go to them.

What do we get? Absolutely nothing! Because we put the water in broken cisterns! Only God is the Spring of Water that never runs out or get old.

For those who drifted away from God because they are burdened by sin, the word of God says this through Isaiah, the Prophet of God:

“Come now, let us settle the matter,”
says the Lord.
“Though your sins are like scarlet,
they shall be as white as snow;
though they are red as crimson,
they shall be like wool.
If you are willing and obedient,
you will eat the good things of the land;
but if you resist and rebel,
you will be devoured by the sword.”
For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.” Isaiah 1:18-20

Amen!

Yes, some people drift away from the faith, from God, because they are caught in a grievous sinful lifestyle and they live under constant shame, guilt and fear. They think that God is tired of hearing their “forgive me God” cries for the hundred times. But God says, bring “darkest sin” to me and I will make you new again.

Others drift away from God because they think that they have no need to seek God. All their needs are met and they put God and the Bible on the back burner. Going to church and fellowshiping with other believers seem unnecessary to them.

Others drift away from God for other various reasons.

Whatever your reason might be, if you are the one God is looking for, the one God wants me to deliver this message to, please, come back to the Shepherd and Overseer of your soul. God appeals and implores to you through this post saying that He is your Jewelry, He is your Ornament. He is your Medicine that can heal you from all kinds of sinful lifestyles. However much your sin might be, God is the only one who can cleanse you and make you as new.  You cannot cleanse your life but the blood of Jesus that is poured out for you and me, sinners to the core of our beings. Without God, you and I have no beauty nor life.

Don’t let this passing world, fleeting pleasure of sin, your flesh and the devil deceive you. Say “Yes” to God’s call and He will receive you back with joy and gladness. Respond to His call. ///
