Trust Him!
Trust who? Who is trustworthy at this time? The weather man? The news caster? Who?
No! Trust the One who is Trustworthy! The word of God says,
“The saying is trustworthy, for: If we have died with him, we will also live with him; if we endure, we will also reign with him; if we deny him, he also will deny us; if we are faithless, he remains faithful— for he cannot deny himself.” 2 Timothy 2:11-13 ESV
Do you see it?
If we are faithless, unable to trust God, God remains faithful!
Do you know why?
Faithfulness and trustworthiness are His characters. His characters are who God is!
So trust the Potter! Don’t panic when the Potter destroys His work completely, as it seems to you.
He is not destroying it! He is re-creating it, making and molding it in a way it will be good to “the clay” and glorifying to Him.
So trust Him!
God says,
“Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” Psalm 46:10 ESV
In whatever the Potter chooses to do with the clay, He does it in a way exalt His name among the nations and in the whole earth. His glory means our unspeakable joy and pleasure! So let’s trust Him!
While thinking and praying about my country Ethiopia and my people Ethiopians, I sing to God reading His word back to Him:
“The word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord: “Arise, and go down to the potter’s house, and there I will let you hear my words.” So I went down to the potter’s house, and there he was working at his wheel. And the vessel he was making of clay was spoiled in the potter’s hand, and he reworked it into another vessel, as it seemed good to the potter to do. Then the word of the Lord came to me: “O house of [Ethiopia] Israel, can I not do with you as this potter has done? declares the Lord. Behold, like the clay in the potter’s hand, so are you in my hand, O house of [Ethiopia] Israel.” Jeremiah 18:1-6 ESV
Amen! Amen! Amen! Let’s trust the Lord for He is trustworthy! ///
