The Next Moment

I do listen to the news but I strive not to let the news lead my life.

So, what I do is, I listen to the news and I read and study my Bible and I strive to think about what I read/studied all day long.

Today I read Luke 23 and I studied a good part of this chapter. Since it is a relatively long chapter, studying it takes time. Then I went somewhere and I got a chance to listen to the Bible via my car bluetooth. Just beautiful!

You see, we all who walk on the earth carry a death sentence. Even if you are a good looking person, accomplished a lot and all that, it is true that you too carry a death sentence, waiting for your last day, just like me.

So, when your last day comes, coronavirus or something will be a tool to accomplish the sentence.

The Bible makes this truth very clear bu the main message of the Bible is not to tell us that we all are waiting our death sentences. Oh, no! That is not the main message of the Bible.

The main message of the Bible is one and only one!

The Bible wants us all to know that death is kept for every one of us but there is an eternal life to all who trust in the Son of God, Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ, the Son of God, one of the Trinity, the only Savior given to us, is the Message of the Bible.  No other name has been given to us.  None other for “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:12

So, my friend, do you know this Savior, Jesus Christ?

I am not asking you if you know about Jesus Christ, but if you know Him personally, as your God and Savior?

Perhaps you may say, “I have a religion,” but Jesus Christ didn’t die for a particular religion or denomination but for sinners like me and you.

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. ” John 3:16-28

Do you see that?

When Jesus was walking on this earth, there were religious people who gave Him hard times. They wanted Him to bow down to their dead religious customs and traditions. They were boasting before Him, as if to say, “We are good enough to go to heaven.” And Jesus’ response to them was:

“Jesus answered them, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”” Luke 5:31-32

Are you sick? Are you a sinner?

If your answer is yes to these two questions, be happy for Jesus has already come for YOU! Praise God!

So, please know Him because we all are heading to our final day whenever that day is going to be and I do not want you to end your day on this side of heaven without Him. Remember, there is no time to know Jesus on the other side heaven. Once you pass from this life to the next, there is no, “Okay, let me know Him.” That would be toooooo late.

“Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.” Hebrews 9:27-28

Please if you don’t know Him, know Him now for “now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation.” 2 Corinthians 6:2b

Don’t bet on the next moment for the next moment might be too late. Call on Him. He is nearer to you than your soul. Call His name. Please! Know that your good deeds are like filthy rags before God; only the blood of Jesus Christ that was shed for your sins can make you righteous before God, not your good deeds. Call on His name and tell Him that you believe in Him: “If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9 ///
