Just think about it.

Our Christian journey starts and ends with the grace of God.

The word of God says, “For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ. ” John 1:17

Praise God!

We are saved by the grace of God.

“For by grace you have been saved through faith; and this is not of yourselves, it is the gift of God;” Ephesians 2:8

Grace of God, in short, is the strength, power and favor God gives to the undeserved; for example, you and me.

When we read/study and meditate on the word of God and make the word ours as we walk in it (as we abide in and obey it), the word becomes flesh and manifests itself in our lives in truth and grace (John 1:1, 14).

This grace of God is what teaches us how to lead an upright and holy life.

“For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all people, instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously, and in a godly manner in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus, ” Titus 2:11-13

So, we need to receive grace from God on a daily basis for our daily needs. There is no a one-time “gift of grace” that will help us to do life all the time. That is why the Bible says,

“Therefore let’s approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace for help at the time of our need.” Hebrews 4:16

Wow!

So, when we approach the throne of God (the throne of grace) in prayer on a daily basis, we can be sure to find grace that helps.

I don’t know about you, but for me, I need the grace of God countless times a day, because without it, I only know how to reveal my evil and sinful heart. With God’s grace, God instead reveals His son through me, the me who goes through the ups and downs of life prone to sin and rebellion.

When I hit rock bottom, God’s grace becomes my strength to glorify Christ in me. Praise God!

“Concerning this I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might leave me. And He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.” Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me.” 2 Corinthians 12:8-9

What a beautiful revelation!

Paul is not rebuking his sufferings and the things which make him weak; rather he welcomes them all with gladness because he knows that through God’s grace, God’s power will be perfected in his weakness.

Oh, the grace of God!

No wonder the Bible ends with this:

“The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all. Amen.” Revelation 22:21
