He apologized in the beginning of September of this year.
Some said, “This is one of Benny Hinn’s hundred gimmicks to get more “mula” from his follower?”

I am not really sure but I personally said, “But still, this is a good beginning!”

“I’m sorry to say that prosperity has gone a little crazy and I’m correcting my own theology and you need to all know it. Because when I read the Bible now, I don’t see the Bible in the same eyes I saw 20 years ago, – – – I think it hurts the Gospel, so I’m making this statement for the first time in my life and frankly, I don’t care what people think about me anymore,”

He continued,
“I think giving has become such a gimmick; it’s making me sick to my stomach.”
And he continued to say this, sounds like a punch line:
“The more you know the Bible the more you become biblically based and more balanced in your opinions and your thoughts, because we are influenced, – – – When I was younger, I was influenced by the preachers who taught whatever they taught. But as I’ve lived longer I’m thinking, wait a minute, you know this doesn’t fit totally with the Bible and it doesn’t fit with the reality. So what is prosperity? No lack. I’ve said this before, did Elijah the prophet have a car? No. Did not even have a bicycle. He had no lack. … Did Jesus drive a car or live in a mansion? No. He had no lack. How about the Apostles? None lacked among them,” Hinn said. “Today, the idea is abundance and palatial homes and cars and bank accounts. The focus is wrong … It’s so wrong.”
Wow! Did you read this? This blows away my mind!
But this one question literally kept me awake during the night the day I read this on Christianitytoday website:
How can we reach to the many young “African prosperity preachers” who are plagued with this “false” and heretic gospel and continue preaching this gospel to millions of people?
I mean, I thank God that a day came to hear this kind of confession from Benny Hinn but what about the people, especially young African people, who’ve heard him and believed him for the last two, three decades?
Yes, ministries such as Grace To You and Ligonier Ministries try their best to reach to the whole world with the true Gospel of God but can these two ministries alone reach to the whole world, especially to African churches who are still preaching, “Get healed, you have to lead a health and wealth life because jesus was poor and stricken on the cross in order for you to become healthy and wealthy” – and in the middle of their preaching, “patting on their big belly – as if to say, “Look at this big belly! See it as an example how a person can be healthy and wealthy and live for christ and god!”
As a follower of Jesus Christ, if this doesn’t make you cry, what does?
The god and christ they preach don’t match with the Christ and God of the Bible.
And if so, what can be done? And how? ///
