It’s my sincere and fervent prayer for God to fill His churches, specifically Ethiopian churches, with preachers like this man, Charles Spurgeon.

At the end of all Spurgeon’s messages, the only thing left in his listeners’ heart is, not him, but the awesomeness of God, the greatness and sovereignty of God!

We Christians are drifting away from the truth of God and turning into idols and the sad part is this: We don’t know it. We now have no patience to sit and listen to teachings.

We demand and ask: “Where is miracle? Where is prophecy? Amaze us! Surprise us! Show us something new and something supernatural! Speak about our future! Dare to tell us about what is going to happen to the kings and leaders of different countries!”

And countless men and women are answering our calls and taking over our pulpits to tell us what we ask them to.

And the sad part is this: We always ask, “It feels like something is missing.”

Oh Father, forgive us!

But no, I won’t give up! I seek the face of God. God will soon fill His churches, specifically Ethiopian churches, with preachers like Charles Spurgeon who preach and teach and lead the people of God to nowhere but to God!

Until then, I hope in God and I fix my eyes on Him alone who is the Overseer of His Church. ///
