Assuming that you read yesterday’s blog, here is the continuation of it.

“When we say, God is holy,” we actually in effect are saying, “God is separate, different, a class by Himself.” None to compare with Him!

When we use “holy” to people, like you and I, it means they are set apart and different from the people of this world. They are a class by themselves because there is no other class like them in this world.

What does “sexually holy” mean?

The same thing!

A person is sexually pure primarily by the way they see and understand their sexuality.

If porn is their entertainment, they belong to this world. If they struggle with porn and fight against the habit of going to porn whenever they feel lonely, depressed, euphoric, or accomplished, they are the people of light with a struggle. They struggle with it relentlessly because the way they view their sexuality aligns with the word of God. They fight until they declare their victory in Christ Jesus.

Their sexuality is given to them for the purpose of reproduction, pleasure and for the purpose of pursuing holiness, purity and the glory of God in the covenant relationship of one man and one woman. Outside this covenant relationship, if they seek to be sexual, they know that they have to join the dark world in worshiping the god of this world.

“But because of the temptation to sexual immorality, each man should have his own wife and each woman her own husband.” 1 Corinthians 7:2 ESV

Straightforward!

And how does their sexuality function in the covenant relationship of one man and one woman?

“The husband should give to his wife her conjugal rights, and likewise the wife to her husband. For the wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does. Likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does.”
1 Corinthians 7:3-4 ESV

Beautifully put!

They know that their sexuality is given to them to give it to their spouse who is their lifetime partner.

There is no other sexual outlet for them according to the word of God.

If their thinking is not aligned with the word of God, they are still in dark and all their spiritual and religious activities mean absolutely nothing. Those activities won’t make them spiritual warriors who fight against sin but spiritual phonies who sit and watch others follow Christ. ///
