A4P Guest: “So are you saying that if a married couple feels comfortable doing any sexual act, such as anal sex, it is acceptable before God?”
A4P: Hmm! When I read your question, I remember this saying that goes like this: “I’m only responsible for what I say not for what you understand.”
I also remember this saying, “Two wrongs don’t make a right.”
The question that begs an answer here is not whether the married couples agree on the act or not, but who those agreed married couples are?
If those married couples are in Christ, living a Christian life daily (beyond having a perfect church attendance); they don’t need detail instructions as to what to do with sex and how to do it. All they need is basic biblical principle. And I referred that message to those married couples ONLY!
For example, when the Bible says, “Flee from sexual immorality,” (1 Corinthians 6:18), it doesn’t say, “This is the example of sexual immorality you need to stay away from: Viewing porn, sleeping and touching woman’s body you are not married to; kissing and exchanging the saliva of a woman you are not married to etc.” No, the Bible doesn’t say that even if we want to.
For example: The Bible nowhere it says “Do not smoke cigarette.” It doesn’t say that but we know that the Bible says, “Your body is the Temple of the Holy Spirit” (1 Corinthians 6:9). So, we strive to keep our body, the Temple of the Holy Spirit, as healthy as we can, keeping it free from for example any addiction, including food and soda (even chocolate and coffee, lol).
If the Bible gives us a list, since we all are capable of coming up with a way to sin against God, we will come up with another list saying, “Well, it doesn’t say, “Don’t kiss her nose; only her lips”. So, I am okay with kissing her nose and ears.”
Do you see the danger? That is why the law is done away with by the Cross of Christ (Colossians 2:14) because it couldn’t cleanse us.
And to tell you the truth, in the New Testament, there is no list of things we have to follow to stay away from sin. When we live in His love, His love itself sets us apart from the filthy THINKING AND DEEDS OF THIS WORLD!
You yourself Be a judge here: While we are consumed with homosexuality act, Googling and thinking about it day and night, how can we ask a biblically sound and right question here? While we are faithful consumers of all those sexually explicit movies, dramas and TV shows, how can we come up with question which makes us holy before God? I leave those questions for you to answer.
When we abide in Christ and Christ abide in us, we won’t be ashamed of anything we do but we be thankful to God every day. When we know that we live and move and have our being through Christ and live according to the lead of the Love of Christ, we don’t need anybody to tell us that this sex position or that sex style is okay or sinful! His Love governs our lives. Only basic principles are enough for us to connect the dots.
And one last point: Love never goes against one’s conscious to fulfill its own desires and wishes because love never demands or seeks its own (1 Corinthians 13). ///
