Somebody sent me this picture yesterday night and I just saw it. You have no idea for how long I stared at this picture, specifically at the young mom.
A4P Guest: Hi Missy, How are you doing? I want to ask you about a recent issue I’ve been dealing with. Long story short, there is this man I know from my church. He recently asked me for a relationship. I told him that I needed time to think before I give him a yes or no answer. Then we started hanging out just for a cup of tea because I thought that would help me to know him better. People from my church (my spiritual fathers) encouraged me to move with it (to accept his request). As far as I have noticed in this few weeks, he’s a good man and he always tries to take care of me. I haven’t seen anything wrong in his personality.
Whether a person steals a penny or one million dollar, his action is called a theft and he will be called a thief. A sin is a sin however you look at. There is no “one-sin” that is worse than the other. A sin is a sin! Period!
However, there is “one sin” that is different from all other sins.
When we want to replace God, we tend to be nervous and restless all the time.
We go shopping but we don’t seem satisfied with the things we buy. We go out to have fun with others but at the end of the day, when we become alone, we get overwhelmed with this heart-wrenching and bone-crushing kind of loneliness and fear.
“But now I am writing to you that you must not associate with anyone who claims to be a brother or sister but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or slanderer, a drunkard or swindler. Do not even eat with such people.”
