My day didn’t start very well. I heard something early in the morning that made me feel sad and hopeless.
So, I knelt down at my bedside; I praised and worshiped God and left my anxious thoughts to Him and got on with my day.
“Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:4-7NASB
As you know, my work is counseling. So, it is very critical for me to go to my work with a fresh mind and a comforted soul so I can help the people who come to me for counseling. To help me, I sometimes bring this cry out before God: “Father, You know I am going to counsel people. Please comfort my soul so I can comfort them and help them find godly solutions to their problems.”
God is faithful! Amen, He is!
“Your lovingkindness, O Lord, extends to the heavens, Your faithfulness reaches to the skies.” Psalm 36:5
Because of God’s faithfulness, my day ended this way:
One of the people I counseled today was a beautiful young lady, a mother and a wife of a handsome young man. I counseled her with her husband for a number of sessions and today she wanted to come alone since her issue was “not marital, but personal,” as she said.
By the way, I am writing this with her 100% permission. So, relax and read.
The first time I counseled them, it was a bit difficult for me to understand some of their biblical interpretations and applications, mainly with the wife. I mean, I counseled anyone and everyone, with all kinds of religions and backgrounds. What I am focusing on is their issues, not their doctrines or religions.
But this particular couple was a bit unique because all their issues revolve around their doctrinal differences.
Then the husband nicely and respectfully said, “My wife follows the New Creation Doctrine.”
The moment I heard that my heart totally sank, but at the same time, I was happy to find the heart, or the source, of their marital problems. So, I began to share with them the word of God. Then little by little, I began to show them where this unbiblical teaching called New Creation is failing terribly.
And today, this beautiful young lady came to my online counseling office to share with me the good news that she has been reading and studying the word of God and she, little by little, began to see the TRUTH clearly. She realized that this New Creation doctrine blinded her from the truth for so long that it was hard for her to listen to anyone, including her beloved husband.
She was listening to the pioneers of this doctrine, sending her money (offerings and tithes) to the Ethiopian preachers of this doctrine here in the US.
What is the main message of this doctrine?
“You are God; you are equal with Jesus; You are actually the Jesus on earth.”
At this point, this doctrine is taking over the Ethiopian Christian community like this pandemic and sadly many people don’t even realize it. They only know that the preachers are quoting the Bible and they concluded that the preachers must be Christian ministers of God.
The commonly quoted verse is this:
“Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.” 2 Corinthians 5:17 NASB
I mean, this is a Bible verse; it came from the Bible. And these preachers preach about the god they call jesus, but the jesus they talk about is not the Jesus Christ of the Bible.
“No cross” in their message whatsoever! They say, “Jesus carried the cross for you so you do not need to carry it: he became poor so you can be wealthy and drive a Ferrari, he suffered for you so you suffer no more, he was beaten for your sickness so you will be healthy, he became nobody so you can be famous, a somebody.”
HELLO!?
Does this ring a bell?
In short, this young lady came to me today and said, “Now I am wondering what I was thinking, listening to such things? I started to ask myself, “What was wrong with my brain to listen to such kind of a message and think that it is from the Bible?”
Yes, heresy attracts and deceives mainly women, not men. Yes, some men get deceived too but women are the main victims of propaganda, mainly to New Creation kind of teaching.
You may ask, “Why?”
Well, I believe this verse gives us a very clear answer:
“For it was Adam who was first created, and then Eve. And it was not Adam who was deceived, but the woman being deceived, fell into transgression.” 1 Timothy 2:13-14 NASB
Did you see that?
Before Eve came to the picture, Adam was in the Eden Garden and Satan was there too. The Bible does not say, “God made Eve and then He created Satan.”
No! Satan was created way before Adam and Eve as we learn from Scriptures (Isaiah 14).
Satan came to Eve, probably knowing that the way she was “formed” was different from Adam, different in a way that she was made to be the weaker vessel. She was made weak due to her being wired emotionally.
This wiring made Eve an easy target to be lured, attracted, and deceived to all kinds of things. All a person/Satan had to do to get her is to appeal to her emotion. That is all!
“When the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was desirable to make one wise, she took from its fruit and ate;” Genesis 3:6a
Hmm! That is why Adam was put over her to be her “head” so he covers and protects her [protect her head too].
When he neglects his job, she gets deceived. That is exactly what happened in the Garden of Eden.
Why did Eve give in to the temptation? What was so deceiving about the message of the devil that attracted her?
Read carefully:
“Now the serpent was more crafty than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, “Indeed, has God said, ‘You shall not eat from any tree of the garden’?” The woman said to the serpent, “From the fruit of the trees of the garden we may eat; but from the fruit of the tree which is in the middle of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat from it or touch it, or you will die.’” The serpent said to the woman, “You surely will not die! For God knows that in the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” When the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was desirable to make one wise, she took from its fruit and ate; and she gave also to her husband with her, and he ate. ” Genesis 3:1-6 NASB
Look at verse 4 & 5 again:
“The serpent said to the woman, “You surely will not die! For God knows that in the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”” Genesis 3:4-5
The key statement in Satan’s speech is this: “you will be like God” – this is the bait! And the woman grabbed it!
So, the idea is that Satan presented it in this way: “God kept some truths from you. He does not want you to eat the fruit because if you do, He knows that you will be like Him, a god, and God wants to be the only God. That is why He is keeping you two in this enslaved state called humanity.”
Hmm!
Very familiar, isn’t it?
New Creation preachers today say that they are gods and telling their listeners that they are gods too because they say, “I didn’t say this, the word of God says it. The word of God says you are gods.”
Wow!
Anyways, this young lady was snatched out of this false and dangerous teaching. Praise God! This is the work of the Holy Spirit, a very fascinating work!
“For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren; and these whom He predestined, He also called; and these whom He called, He also justified; and these whom He justified, He also glorified.” Romans 8:29-30 NASB
And I am writing her story here for two reasons: One, to call others who might be following this heresy to come back to the Truth, and second, to once again create awareness among the Christian communities (mainly among Ethiopian and Eritrean Christian communities) regarding this heresy (false bible teaching) called New Creation.
If you are a follower of New Creation and you disagree with what you’re reading here, let me know in the comment section, not like “I disagree with you,” I mean, that does not tell me anything.
Rather, say something like, “I disagree with you. We are gods according to this and that verse and I am jesus on this earth too because of this and that verse.”
Then we will discuss about that, respectfully, so you and I can learn from each other and others may find something important to ponder on. ///
