As Christians, let’s use the name of the LORD in appropriate manner.
The word of God says, “You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name.” (Exodus 20:7)
This is actually the seventh one from the Ten Commandments of God.
We obey it not so we go to heaven but we are heading to heaven if we believe in Jesus Christ.
Calling Jesus’ name recklessly won’t make us guiltless, means our act makes us guilty, a person who disregards the word of God.
I am guilty of this wrong doing and I am in the process of training myself to stop that and I want to encourage you to do the same because it is right and biblical.
The name of the LORD is all we have against our enemy and when we know how to use it and how, our enemy fears us.
Otherwise we will be like a laughing stock even for the devil.
