“The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.”” (Genesis 2:18)
If God says “singleness” is not good, it will never be good for you. There is no exceptional case. When you strive to be like Christ, God works on your behalf so you won’t be “alone.” Remember, alone doesn’t mean “lonely.” Loneliness is an emotional sickness. You may feel lonely even as a married person, while you are surrounded by your spouse and kids. Alone means, not having a life-time partner, a partner who is always at your side, your BFF for life (Best Friend Forever).
“God works on your behalf” doesn’t necessarily mean that God will go out and look for you a spouse because the word of God says:
“He who finds a wife finds what is good
and receives favor from the Lord.” (Proverbs 18:22)
You only find something if you only search for it but for you to find “the one,” you need to prepare yourself to be that “godly person” anybody wants, desires and prays to marry.
When you work on yourself, to be that godly person, guess what? You become a professional “spiritual searcher” who knows, searches and finds “the one” and avoids those who are not “the ones.”
So, be wise! Walk as God wants you to walk and He will enlighten your heart, mind and eyes so that you won’t find yourself in a marriage when you say, “How did I end up in here?” ///
