We Ethiopians, not only we are beautiful people but we are also unique people with different calendar?.
That was just a little joke.
Everybody is beautifully, wonderfully and uniquely created by God (Psalm 139:14). We all are God’s image bearers (Genesis 1:26). And we all are God’s masterpiece (Ephesians 2:10). Praise God!
And what matters the most in this life is not how we look, the color of our skin, or the “tribe” we came from, but whether we are in Christ or not.
The cross of Christ made everything else in this life rubbish!
Think about it: God, the Creator of the Universe, sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to earth to die on the cross for sinners like me and you so we become children of God.
Wow! Wow! Wow!
So, Paul writes: “For I resolved to know nothing – – – except Jesus Christ and him crucified.” (1 Corinthians 2:2)
For us Christians, followers of Jesus Christ, then, the Cross of Christ is the central theme of our lives for only the Cross of Christ gives meaning and purpose to our lives. That means, we don’t celebrate Easter once a year but everyday including today.
