It is impossible to fight against porn alone.
Why?
You always lose!
You see, darkness loves secrecy, loneliness! And when you invite another person to join you in your fight against porn, it is like saying “Yes” to light to shine on the dark area of your life.
If you are in Christ, you desire to run away from darkness. And when darkness tries to make its abode in your soul, you partner with another believer so the darkness loses its power on you.
As the Bible says, we are the light of the world and we are children of Light:
“You are the light of the world.” Matthew 5:14a NASB
“But you, brethren, are not in darkness, that the day would overtake you like a thief; for you are all sons of light and sons of day. We are not of night nor of darkness;” 1 Thessalonians 5:4-5 NASB
That means we bring light with us wherever we go.
And the word of God says,
“For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But he who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God.” John 3:20-21 NASB
After all, we all are together called “the body of Christ,” but individually, we are just one body parts of the body of Christ. That means, we CANNOT make it alone, hiding our lives from the rest of the body of Christ.
The devil always advises us to do just that, doesn’t he?
“You can handle it! You can stop it whenever you want to. You are strong! You need nobody! After all, everybody is broken like you. You are better than many people in your church.”
The devil is always a liar!
Anyways, please hear the word of God and follow it through. Have accountability partner in your pursuit of sexual sanity (sexual morality) apart from which you can’t fellowship with the Holy Spirit. (Hebrews 12:14)
I am sure I told you about covenanteyes.com before, how they helped thousands of people to be free from porn.
And today, I want to introduce you to Ever Accountable (if you don’t know them).
As one of their accountability partners to one of my good friends who signed up to Ever Accountable, I daily receive emails from Ever Accountable. This morning, I received this email:
#########
“Your Role as an Accountability Partner
As pornography thrives in secrecy, removing that secrecy is a powerful tool. Your friend will have extra strength and motivation to avoid pornography knowing that you will see the sites they visit.
This is why you need to read the weekly reports and talk to your friend if you see either obvious pornography or something you’re unsure about.
Sit down with your friend and ask them to tell you their story. Why do they want to stay away from pornography? Then, make an agreement: you will contact them if you see that they looked at pornography–and they will contact you if they get close to looking at it.
It is just as important that you congratulate them on good reports.
Also, talking about the situations in your friend’s life that lead them to use pornography will help them recognize and avoid those areas in the future.
Remember that your job is not to be the cop or the enforcer. You’re helping them change, not forcing them to change.
Thanks,
The Ever Accountable team
Next: We will further discuss what to do when you find out your friend looked at pornography.”

Don’t you love that?
Yes, I daily receive reports on this individual’s Internet browsing history. Do you see how this helps the individual to fight against porn?
Yes, it does!
Why am I sharing this with you?
To encourage you to first sign up for covenanteyes.com or everaccountable.com and find an accountability partner to join you in the pursuit of sexual sanity.
I have my own accountability partner and I am another person’s accountable partner. In this way, we become each other’s “keeper.”
Remember, a person cannot be a Christian and at the same time, be a lone-ranger! He/she has to choose between the two: To be a Christian or a lone-ranger. ///
