Created He Them

For the most part, the Bible is a simple book to understand. It is actually a book written so little kids can read and understand it.

The first verse of the first chapter of the Book of the Bible, Genesis, reads,

“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” Genesis 1:1 KJV

If we skip this, we will struggle to keep on reading after verse 27:

“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.” Genesis 1:27 KJV

The first chapter of Genesis is the summary of creation. Then when we move to chapter 2, a bit detail one:

“And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.” Verse 7

Then it goes on to say,

“And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.” Genesis 2:21-22 KJV

If we struggle to believe the first three chapters of Genesis, we should forget about the rest of the Bible because pretty much everything we basically need to know and believe about God and this universe are found in these three chapters.

And if we genuinely believe these chapters, we will know that the message of “God created he [Adam] Him male and female created He them” IS the heart of the Gospel.

You see, God created Adam in the image of the Second or the Last Adam, Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 15:45), the Son of God, the Bible is talking about throughout all those 66 Books of the Bible.

“Adam, who is a type of Him who was to come.” Romans 5:14b NASB

Hmm!

So, when we see the topic of gender taking center stage, let’s be aware that the topic is not a political issue but all about the Gospel, the Church and Christ.

After Paul wrote about how a Christian should live, act and behave and how married couples live peaceably under the principles of God, he wrapped up his message by saying this:

“This mystery is great; but I am speaking with reference to Christ and the church.” Ephesians 5:32 NASB

I think at this point in his letter Paul didn’t want us, his readers, to miss the main message: The Lamb of God and His Bride, the Church.

So, please young people, I plead with you all to study the first three chapters of Genesis carefully and see if your heart believes what your eyes is reading. If you struggle to believe those chapters, don’t go to any other Books of the Bible. Ask God to open up your spiritual eyes so you can see and understand His truth. The heart of the Gospel is found in these three chapters. The devil and this dark world know that very well and they do everything they can to keep us from believing and accepting these three beautiful chapters because they know that if we start believing and living out our faith, we unswervingly stand against them to the end without fear or shame. ///
