Jacob literally fought with God as it is recorded in Genesis 32:22-32. Well, the Bible doesn’t say, “God,” but a man.
Before Jacob got to this place of fighting with God, he ruled his life all by himself. Well, his mom ruled his life for a bit too as she told him when and where to go so Esau, his brother, would not kill him. Jacob wronged his twin brother, Esau. He tricked him and took his birthright and with the counsel of his mom again, Jacob tricked his dad, Isaac, and took all Esau’s blessings posing as Esau. Why do some married women take off their wedding rings whenever they have a fight with their husbands?
You know, I really don’t have any clue.
With all the innocence and ignorance about marriage that I bought with myself into my marriage, the one silly mistake I am not guilty of so far is taking off my wedding bands.
Who from his own initiative decided to look for God and found Him?
“As it is written:
“There is no one righteous, not even one;
there is no one who understands;
there is no one who seeks God.
All have turned away,
they have together become worthless;
there is no one who does good,
not even one.”” Romans 3:10-12 Continue reading Unfathomable Joy!→
A4P Guest: I am 18 years old and I am a Christian. I always pray for my future marriage and I want to get married at the age of 25. Do you think that is a bit too early to get married?
A4P: Why did you ask me?
A4P Guest: Because everybody who heard me say that rebuked me.
A4P Guest: Thank you for your recent YouTube video message. I have a question. I am married and have two kids (10 and 12). My husband and I, both of us are Christians, gave up on our marriage a long time ago, probably a couple years ago. He is sleeping in a different bedroom all these two years. So, as you can imagine, we have no communication whatsoever, I mean, healthy way like a husband and a wife. We always argue when it comes to picking up and dropping off kids at their school and activities. If you ask me why I am living with him, I will say, “For the sake of my kids!” I don’t want my kids to live without a father or a mother. So, even if we sleep in separate bedrooms, at least they see us both in the same house every day. Some people are advising me to divorce him because they see no benefit with my decision to stay with him. What do you say? Is divorce better, especially for my kids?
Marriage between one man and one woman is the story of God, not the story of man. It is very easy for us to forget this especially when we find ourselves in a marriage, in the middle of a conflict. Continue reading Divorce? Why?→
Sinful desires are printed on our DNA. That means we can’t run from them. Oops, what do we do then? We can live above them while they are hanging out with us.
A4P Guest: I’m a mother of three little kids (8, 6 and 5 years old). I’ve been married with my husband for the last 10 years. To make a long story short, I’m in hell. I’m crying right now. It is hard for me to write the condition I’m in. My husband doesn’t help me around the house. He doesn’t care about the kids. I do everything by myself. Continue reading Meaning of “Tough Love”→
