A4P Guest: I am totally confused!
A4P: About what?
A4P Guest: About my life!
A4P: Oh?
A4P Guest: Yes! I went to a one prayer program and someone prophesied on me saying that I would get married this year.
A4P: And you got married?
A4P Guest: No. The thing is another prophetess said to me, the man I am dating is not my husband and I need to find my own husband.
A4P: Phew! There are at least 3 billion single men in this world. How are you going to find him? I think it would have been better and easier if these people had told you “your husband-to-be’s” name and his whereabouts to make your life easier. Otherwise it may take you 100 years to find him.
A4P Guest: I hope you are not joking, are you?
A4P: Joking? I don’t usually joke. If what I am saying makes you laugh, by all means, go ahead and laugh but I am not joking.
A4P Guest: Sorry if I’ve offended you.
A4P: No, you haven’t.
A4P Guest: My question for you is this: The man I am seeing now is the man I love very much. If my husband to be is out there, I don’t want to marry a wrong man.
A4P: Okay, now you’re becoming funny! Are you a Christian?
A4P Guest: Yes I am. I told you how I went to prophets and heard what God said to me.
A4P: That makes you an idol worshiper, not a Christian. A Christian is a follower of Jesus Christ, not a follower of prophets. When a Christian has a question or doesn’t know what to do, she goes to the word of God in prayer for the word of God is a lamp to her feet and a light to her path. The Bible says, “For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.” Romans 8:14NASB Jesus said, “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing; the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life.” You are not leading your life in spirit but in prophesy.
A4P Guest: But I didn’t go looking for prophets. Both times I heard those messages at birthday parties.
A4P: But I am sure you knew beforehand that there would be some kind of prophesy at the birthday party.
A4P Guest: I guess!
A4P: Then you went to hear what they had to say.
A4P Guest: Yes.
A4P: Young girl, please listen to me: Have a home church that preaches Christ and Christ alone. Sit at the feet of those who teach you about God the Father, God the Son, Jesus Christ and God the Holy Spirit. What you told me sounds like spiritual adultery. Be rooted in one church, a church which believes and teaches only the word of God, a church no human being is promoted and glorified but Christ Jesus. Otherwise, you will get married and quickly get divorced by one other prophesy. Stop this adultery! Rather go back to the Shepherd and Savior of your soul. If you haven’t known Him, know Him. His name is Jesus Christ who died on the cross for your sin, was buried and rose again after three days and reconciled you with God so you live for eternity. Jesus Christ is “the Message of God” (Hebrews 1:2) to you. You need no other message but Jesus Christ, Him alone! ///
