It is easy to receive forgiveness when we desperately seek it, right?
If God is the One we wronged, we quickly go to Him and ask His forgiveness. Then as His word says, we feel FREE from the guilt and condemnation of sin.
“If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us.If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:8-9 NASB Continue reading Forgive!→
A4P Guest: I think I am married with the man you described in your post yesterday.
A4P: Uh-oh! What kind of man did you read in my post yesterday?
A4P Guest: My husband grew up with his mother and two of his younger sisters. And reading through your post yesterday, I thought for a second that you were writing about my husband.
A4P Guest: My plan since I was a child is to get married when I turn 25. I am a born-again Christian man and I am dating a 22-year old girl. She is a born-again Christian too. I am 24 years old now. So, if things go well, I plan to get married next summer. Unfortunately, I found out that the girl I am dating has cheated on me.
Have you ever been in a cemetery? I hope you have; and have you read what was in each tombstone? I have. And this catches my attention every time I read what is on somebody’s tombstone: Continue reading Life Given By God’s Grace and Mercy→
A4P Guest: I am a born again Christian. And I’m seeing a born again Christian man I met through a common friend. We both are 27-year olds – he is three months older than me. I love him very much and he loves me too. After we started dating, he joined my church so we see each other at least three or four times a week. We get along just fine but sometimes I feel like he competes with me.
Somebody told me a title of a book called “Your God is too Small” by J. B. Phillips. You have no idea how excited I am to read it but not now since I have some books that I need to read and catch up.
For some reason though, the title of the book triggered in my mind many questions, questions such as, Is my God too small? What does that even mean? How big is my God? How would I know?
If you already read the book, forgive me for saying anything about the book I haven’t read but I think it is a book on concepts we humans make of God by our own imaginations and carnal and sinful natures and how those concepts are tooooooo far away from the truth. Not I! I mean, if I am not exaggerating, we all want to avoid pain and sufferings, right?
We go to school and try to find a good paying job for what? To avoid “any lack” in our lives. In a way, we look for a “suffering-free” or comfortable life, whatever that means for each one of us. And this is true for all of us whether we follow Christ or not.
Some Christians genuinely believe that sufferings are reserved for those who reject Christ but is that so scripturally? Continue reading “God’s Gymnasium”→
I mean, think about it! If I am writing this and you are reading this, we can say that we are alive today, praise God!
Some of us may think that we are alive today because we stayed away from those high calorie and fatty foods and we stuck with vegetables and fruits. Some of us may think that we are still alive because we drive safe, we lock our doors tight, we live in “a war-free” zone area, and still some of us think that we are still alive because our laboratory test has been constantly perfect for the last 10 or 20 years.
