Some young girls get confused why their boyfriends don’t propose to them even after dating them for a year or two.
They complain, “I thought he was waiting for the Valentine’s Day but that day just passed; and I thought he would propose to me in the beginning of summer but that too passed. What should I need to do?”
I always ask:
“Why don’t you propose to him?” 🙂 Just kidding! – I wouldn’t say that in a million years! What? A woman proposing to a man? Are you serious?
“The sinfulness of man, and His distance from God by reason thereof, being so great, as that we can have no access into His presence without a mediator; and there being none in heaven or earth appointed to, or fit for, that glorious work but Christ alone, we are to pray in no other name but His only.”
“My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand.” John 10:27-29 NIV
In one of the books I am reading, the above passage of the Bible is titled as “Unsnatchable.” So we are those of us who are in the hands of Jesus Christ. No one and nothing is strong enough to snatch us out of Jesus’ hands! Continue reading Unsnatchable!→

Have you ever thought about that?
You go to sleep believing in Jesus Christ and when you wake up, you find yourself believing in Him again.
My friend, if you think that your brain or your will or something else than God is the one that makes you a believer every morning, you didn’t understand what the word of God is saying about your salvation, how you are indwelt by the Holy Spirit until Jesus Christ comes back.
No, seriously, this is my deep seated question: Why do we still hope that this world will somehow and someway satisfy our needs?
Is this part of “our fallenness?” It must be because I personally sometimes feel like I’ve matured enough not to think that way but I still catch myself thinking, “If I go to the mall and buy a beautiful suit or dress, I will come out of this blue feeling.” Or, “Let me go on YouTube so I can find something to watch and forget all about this life.” Continue reading No Better than Sieves→
