Thou Shalt Not

Christianity has nothing to do with the laws of Moses:

Thou shalt not commit adultery!
Thou shalt not kill!
Thou shalt not lie!

Listen:-

“all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus have been baptized into His death? Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life. For if we have become united with Him in the likeness of His death, certainly we shall also be in the likeness of His resurrection, knowing this, that our old self was crucified with Him, in order that our body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin; for he who has died is freed from sin.” Romans 6:3-7 NASB

WOW! Did you see that?

Our body of sin has been done away with in the cross of Christ so that we die for the law and live for righteousness which is the “newness of life.”

There is only one law a Christian is called to live by: Love God and love others. Period!

Loving God and loving others put to death the passion of sin in us and resurrect our bodies to the newness of life.

That means, it is pointless for us to ask: “How can I stop sinning against God?”

Instead, we ask: “How can I love God so I can love others,” because the law of love is the only law that can set us free from sin.

But, how can we love God unless we spend time in prayer and studying the word of God? We can’t! ///
