Just listen to this pure Gospel!
Did you say, “This is a song, not a sermon!”
Yes, it is a worship song but all songs to God have to preach Christ, the Gospel, and this song preaches the Gospel.
Don’t you love to worship God with a song that reflects the word and truth of God? I do!
But if one does not know the word of God, they think every nice song with a nice music and the name of Jesus throwing here and there is a worship song.
By the way, most of these singers came from “Soli Deo Gloria Choir” (Soli Deo Gloria means “Glory to God alone” in Latin or in Amharic “ክብር ለእግዛብሔር ብቻ”).
Ufffff! I love the name of the choir very much! The name itself preaches the Gospel, doesn’t it?
Of course most of these people came from a Reformed Church called, one of the two reformed churches I know throughout Ethiopia, Wolaita Soddo Baptist Church.
The other reformed church I know in Ethiopia is found in Addis Ababa, “Addis Baptist Church.”
You know, I have never heard a Reformed Preacher preaching in Amharic and it is such a blessing to me to hear from these churches.
You know why I love Reformed Theology!
For one, it teaches about Christ, nothing more and nothing less! Two, no celebrity in Reformed Theology. No preacher jumps up and down on a stage in the name of “Holy Spirit is making me jump.”
Paul puts it this way:
“And I, when I came to you, brothers, did not come proclaiming to you the testimony of God with lofty speech or wisdom. For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.” 1 Corinthians 2:1-2 ESV
Period!
Please young people, be familiar with Reformed Theology!
Soli Deo Gloria Choir, thank you for this beautiful song! I love it very much 😍😍😍///
