Happy Birthday to the Most Amazing Young man I know!

God is good all the time; and all the time, God is good!
 
Fifteen years ago today, I gave birth to a big boy, 9lbs. When I was three month pregnant, in the middle of my morning prayer, I thought God spoke to my heart saying, “It is a boy and call him Biruk.” (In Hebrew – Biruk is “Baruch” – means “blessed” – Jeremiah 36:4)

“But She is a Virgin”

From all the hundreds of commandments given to the people of God, the Israelites, this one command gets my attention:
 
“Do not plow with an ox and a donkey yoked together.” (Deuteronomy 22:10)
 
Okay, I clearly understand other commandments such as, “Don’t kill” and “Don’t do adultery.”
 
“Don’t yoke an ox and a donkey?” Huh?
 
This got me a bit confused.

Oh James & John! 

Jesus, knowing that it was almost time for Him to ascend back to heaven, He decided to set out for Jerusalem. So He sent some of His disciples ahead of Him to Samaria to prepare for Him a place (probably for the last supper). But the people of Samaria didin’t want to welcome Jesus (this is according to Luke’s account – Luke 9).
 
Being very upset with the Samaritan’s response, James and John suggested that Jesus would get even with those stubborn Samaritans. 
 
Their suggestion was:
