The LORD Sustains Me

The first thing that came to my mind this morning was the fact that I was still saved, that I believe in Jesus Christ. 
 
Have you ever thought about that?
 
You go to sleep believing in Jesus Christ and when you wake up, you find yourself believing in Him again.
My friend, if you think that your brain or your will or something else than God is the one that makes you a believer every morning, you didn’t understand what the word of God is saying about your salvation, how you are indwelt by the Holy Spirit until Jesus Christ comes back.

No Better than Sieves

Why don’t we lose hope in this world?

No, seriously, this is my deep seated question: Why do we still hope that this world will somehow and someway satisfy our needs?

Is this part of “our fallenness?” It must be because I personally sometimes feel like I’ve matured enough not to think that way but I still catch myself thinking, “If I go to the mall and buy a beautiful suit or dress, I will come out of this blue feeling.” Or, “Let me go on YouTube so I can find something to watch and forget all about this life.” Continue reading No Better than Sieves →

The Devil Blocked My Way

No matter what I’m going through, God, who has so much confidence in His abounding mercy and grace, keeps on saying, “Leave the past behind  you and move on to the next! Don’t get stuck!”

I don’t know about you but for me, Bible versions do matter especially when I study the word.

I love New American Standard Bible for sure! But that is not the only version I use. I mean, I am sure you don’t want me to list all the versions here but I am here to tell you about one new version.

It is called Legacy Standard Bible. Right now, copies of the New Testament and Psalm are ready and available. The rest of the Bible will soon be ready.

They also have an app you can download on your phone.

I love this version very much because it was written or I will say, translated to answer this one question:

“What did the Author intend?”

LOVE IT VERY MUCH!

Most Bible versions are answering one question: “How can we make the message readable and easy to understand to the so readers?”

Very risky!

While translators try to make God’s message easy for me to understand, they compromise on the message that I desperately need to hear from the Author (God).

In my opinion, the Legacy Standard Bible team did a fascinating job!

Looking forward to having the complete Legacy Standard Bible in my hand!

What do you find in this world that is as precious and invaluable as the word of God?

If you ask me, my answer is NONE!

The word of God is my only treasure in this life! It’s my only source of hope and comfort.

“The law of the Lord is perfect, restoring the soul; The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. The precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.
