What is the benefit of saying, “I believe in God,” while living in sin?
“What use is it, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but he has no works? Can that faith save him? – – – You believe that God is one. You do well; the demons also believe, and shudder. Jesus said,
“Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.” John 14:27 NASB

One of the main identifying characters of “peace” this world gives is fluctuating. It goes up and down. It comes and goes, depending solely on what we feel at the moment.
