I praise the Name of Jesus Christ for helping me be on my feet again!
Thank you to all of you who heard about my illness and prayed for me! God is a merciful God! Devil may try to attack me; but you know what excites me the most? In what kind of speed God always rushes in and turns things around and makes me stand in victory at the presence of my enemy!
So, this past weekend, once again, I learned that no purpose of God can be thwarted. (Job 42:2)
Yes, I was ill with migraine for five straight days. But I didn’t miss the opportunity God put before me; to speak at the annual conference of the North America Ethiopian Evangelical Churches Fellowship (EECF) (which used to be known as the Chicago Conference).
As I always do, I want to say “Thank you” to all the leaders of EECF for inviting me over. May the LORD continue blessing you all in everything you do!
I also would like to say “Thank you” to all of you who came out to be with us! It was a joy for me to meet many of my followers who came from Maryland, Virginia, DC, New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Seattle and more.
Above all, it was a great joy for me to meet my own “virtual children” in person, face to face! Yes, if you don’t know, I have many virtual children, young men and women.
In particular, I was extremely joyful to meet one of my virtual children, a young man; I’ve been mentoring for the last probably six or seven months. Oh, how I love this young man! He is a WARRIOR at heart! He gives no chance to the devil to play tricks on him! Nah! Actually, my visions, dreams and prayers are so that all my virtual children will be just like him! WARRIORS AT HEART! Bless you my virtual son! And always remember that your virtual mother prays for you! I guess, since I saw your face now, you are no more virtual but my spiritual son!
It was also a joy and an honor for me to minister to the next generation with Pastor Nebiye Kelile who came from Sacramento, CA.
Pastor Nebiye, may the LORD enlarge and increase your territory in order for you to reach to the whole world with the Gospel you are filled with!
My! If you guys haven’t yet liked Pastor Nebiye’s Facebook page and subscribe to his YouTube channel, “Joy In God Ministries” (https://www.facebook.com/pages/Joy-In-God-Ministries/1456993494614688), do yourself a favor and do that. This young pastor is full of the Spirit of God and the Word of God. At the end of the conference, my family and I gave him a nickname called “a walking and talking Bible” because this man knows his Bible well; he knew where to find each Bible verse we were running into in the middle of a panel discussion. Above all, Pastor Nebiye knows what he is talking about. If you want to take your Christian walk to a higher level, follow his Facebook page and YouTube channel. I’m one of his daily followers and continue to be.
I want to share with you one of the small group pictures we took at the last day. The young man you see on the picture who is trying to cover my face is my youngest son, Biruk. The young lady behind me with a pair of glasses is my only daughter, Lydia and the young man you see in the right at the front line with gray shirt is my oldest son, Abel. My Berhan, my husband, was in the other conference room when we took this particular picture.
My favorite part of this conference is the panel discussion we had on Friday afternoon. The young people Pastor Nebiye and I gave our teachings to were asking excellent, challenging and relevant questions and we were able to touch on various topics we otherwise wouldn’t have a chance to get into in a teaching setting.
To conclude, the conference was a total success! May the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ be praised forever! ///
