What was your New Year’s Bible verse you’ve received through others or your churches?

We, the Banko’s family have received a verse on the New Year’s Eve celebration day at our church. Well, I was not at the celebration but my loving and kind husband and kids were.

Every year our church gives a small gift with one Bible verse for each individual who attends the program. We used to pick one for each one of us but a couple years ago, we decided to take only one for our family because we believed that every blessing from God comes to our family through the head of our household, my Berhan.

So, every year, my Berhan picks one and we all celebrate about the Bible verse which lands on his hand.

I know that doesn’t mean that the other Bible verses are not important but we use this opportunity to meditate on one Bible verse for the whole year.

Here is the Bible verse we’ve received this year:

“. . . those who hope in me will not be disappointed” Isaiah 49:23

Amen! I love it!
