This morning I read Isaiah chapter eight and this is the verse I chose to stay on for the whole day:
“The Lord Almighty is the one you are to regard as holy,
He is the One you are to fear,
He is the One you are to dread.” (Isaiah 8:13)
And I cross-referenced it with this verse:
“But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear Him who, after your body has been killed, has authority to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear Him.” (Luke 12:5)
I usually love to meditate on the Word of God while writing. If you don’t write or journal what you are meditating on, try it. It is really good. It helps you remember the verse very well.
So, this is what I want to do today. I want to meditate on these two Bible verses today with you. May I?
Will you tell me what comes on your mind when you think these verses?
The one thing that comes to my mind is this: The antidote for any form of fear is the fear of God.
What do you think of the above statement? Do you agree or disagree? Tell me how you agree or disagree with the statement according to Scripture.
Will you participate in this? I really want to hear from most, if not all, of you. Your way of looking at these verses may change our perspective about the fear of God forever. Will you be willing to share with us what is on your mind? ///
