Divorce solves nothing.
Divorce only causes pains and hurts and mars life with lifetime guilt and regret.
And the number one receivers of all pains and hurts caused by divorce are little children, children whose desire is always to see both their parents, mother and father, together.
Yes, some marriages have to be dissolved for the good of the whole family and the community at large but not all marriages.
If you happen to know a marriage that is shaken by the storm of life, please pray for that couple.
If you are married and your marriage is beaten by the wind and the storm of life, first know this: “No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.” (1 Corinthians 10:13) Then fight for your marriage on your knees because divorcing your spouse won’t solve a thing. Go to the people who can help you. Seek counseling. Go and learn about marriage for lack of knowledge can easily lead one not only into divorce but also to death.
If you are a child of parents whose marriage is at the verge of falling apart, kneel before God and seek His face according to His will. Remember, God’s will is for your parents to stay together until death do them part. Blame no one but the devil who is the number one enemy of every marriage on this earth (Ephesians 6:12). And the best way to resist the devil and his work is by submitting to God and His wills (James 4:7).
If you are the one a married person comes-to to share their marital issue and how they are contemplating divorce, do everything you can to seek help for them so they do not end their marriage. Remember, if you save one marriage, you save the next generation on so many ways.
Yes, “What God has joined together, let no one separate.” (Mark 10:9) No one! ///
