In the Morning

Sometimes we run away from God; and sadly enough, we rarely know it.

We say,

“It’s not like God loves me more when I pray and loves me less when I don’t pray. I am loved by Him whether I pray or not. I believe in the grace of Jesus Christ. I am saved by grace through faith. Daily routines, praying and reading the Bible every day, don’t make any difference in my life but my faith in the Cross of Jesus.”

This I call empty or deceitful faith, faith that sounds biblical and spiritual but has lost its biblical root and compass. This is the kind of faith that leads us into all kinds of deceptions.

True and biblical faith compels us to seek God’s face every day, it produces in us a heart that seeks God’s will in all areas of life; and the fruit of which is spending our day in His heartwarming presence.

So, let’s run to God in the morning so we find Him in the rest of our day.

In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice;
    in the morning I lay my requests before you
    and wait expectantly.
” (Psalm 5:3) ///
P. S. The concept of “Morning” may vary from person to person; for one, it may mean at 2am and for the other, it may mean at 8am or 2pm.
