Who is gossiping about Maryland? Not me! Because I found my husband and kids at home, couldn’t go anywhere because of the snow. So, why do I gossip about Maryland’s weather?
Anyways, I hope all of you had a wonderful Valentine’s weekend. I did with the Ethiopian Evangelical Church of Atlanta (EECA) Church folks.
Before I say anything, let me say “Thank you” to all the people who gave me this wonderful opportunity.
First, I would like to say “Thank you” to Pastor/Dr. Tolossa Gudina, senior pastor, and his kind wife for inviting me over.
I would also like to say “Thank you” to all the pastors, Pastor Azeb, Pastor Mesfen and Pastor Fekadu for having me at their gathering; as well as to Beza, Beletu, Dereje and Mesay who made my stay enjoyable!
Another “Thank you” goes out to all the lovely teenagers who came out to attend my teaching (even if the program was after 8:30pm) and for asking me excellent and relevant questions; along with the young adult fellowship leaders who gave me their pulpit on their Friday’s meeting.
“Thank you” also to all the divorced and/or single parents support group for inviting me over at their lunch ceremony and gave me an opportunity to speak at their gathering after lunch. At the end of my speech, they gave me a neck name. Do you want to know? I think you do. So, they called me: “Sehede Metash.” LOL! In English, it means, “You came after I left.” I can’t tell you how much I love that name.
I would also like to say, “Thank you” to all the family ministry leaders who gave me the whole Valentine’s Day program to speak to more than 200 married people. Wow! The turnout was amazing.
Last but not least, I would like to say “Thank you” to the camera crew who did an excellent job. Yes, the sound is excellent too! Thank you guys!
I enjoyed every moment of my stay but the special moment for me was the Sunday morning service. Oh, my! Pastor Tolossa invited me to the stage and began interviewing me and that interview took all the time. We didn’t plan it; God did. Oh, what a wonderful program!
Okay, before I pen out, let me share with you the video of the Sunday evening program. The title of my teaching was: “But man, Despite His Riches.” I watched this video in airplane while I flew back to Maryland and God spoke to my heart in many ways. I am sure He will speak to you too. ///
