Wow! I’ve missed being here! You have no idea how excited I am to be back on Facebook and YouTube. Praise be to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
Yes, I took a long break—much longer than planned. But God, in His sovereign grace, extended it. What do I know? Nothing. He knows exactly what I need. May His name be praised forever!
So, my friend, I’m very happy to see you today. I’m excited to continue walking this journey of faith with you. Are you?
Here in Maryland, fall is settling in, and winter is approaching quickly. Personally, winter is not for me. But in heaven—our eternal home—there will be no winter, no rain, no sea, not even a sun or moon! Why? Because the Lord Himself will be the light of that Celestial City (Isaiah 60:19; Revelation 21:23). Can you imagine? One season—forever!
But while we’re on this side of heaven, we go through different seasons of life. Some are full of joy and open doors; others are marked by pain and disappointment. And most of us live somewhere in between.
Ecclesiastes 3 tells us that these changing seasons are part of life. But as Christians, how should we face them? Do we panic and react—or do we respond in faith?
There’s a big difference. Reaction is often driven by fear. Response flows from prayer and preparation. Jesus models this for us:
“And rising very early in the morning, while it was still dark, he [Jesus] departed and went out to a desolate place, and there he prayed.” —Mark 1:35 (ESV)
Prayer wasn’t something Jesus did only when things got hard. It was His lifestyle. Even minutes before Judas betrayed Him, Jesus was in prayer (Matthew 26:39).
Jesus wasn’t captured by His enemies. He willingly surrendered to His Father’s will—in prayer—before they arrived.
So, let me ask: Do you pray? Not just in hard times, but daily? Does prayer shape your life? Do you give God your leftover time—or your best?
In prayer, we receive mercy and “grace to help in time of need” (Hebrews 4:16). We may not know what’s ahead, but God does—and He equips us.
Don’t forget: real communion with God is grounded in His Word. We pray His Word to seek His will. That’s not legalism—it’s the Christian life.
So, what season are you in right now? If prayer marks your life, your answer will be,
“It doesn’t matter to me. What matters is the will of the One who ordains my day and gives me grace to live it.” ///
