A4P Guest: May the Lord bless you for what you’re doing!
A4P: Amen! Thank you for your kind remarks!
A4P Guest: Can I ask you a question?
A4P: Sure, you can.
A4P Guest: Why do women act like crazy?
A4P: What do you mean?
A4P Guest: I mean, why do women’s moods change frequently like crazy?
A4P: You know, for you guys, it may seem we women are crazy but we don’t usually see our craziness as you men do.
A4P Guest: I’m not a man; I’m a woman.
A4P: Oops! My apology! But on your FB profile it says you are a man. Well, I was in Addis Ababa recently. I wish you came to one of my teachings there. I’ve addressed this topic in depth.
A4P Guest: I don’t live in Addis Ababa. I live in Denmark.
A4P: But on your FB profile, it says, you live in Addis Ababa.
A4P Guest: I know! I want to keep it that way. May I ask you another question?
A4P: Sure.
A4P Guest: On one of your posts you’ve talked about the importance of sharing our secrets with others to find healing from sexual addiction or other forms of destructive lifestyles. How can I share my secret with others?
A4P: Precious, if you are not feeling comfortable to post your true gender on FB, how can you be able to share your secrets with others? I mean, don’t get me wrong here. I like your question but your question sounds like you took “sharing our secrets with others” advice as a tablet you need to take one time to receive your healing. But opening up our life to others so that they can help us is a journey we need to stay on until we die. That means getting rid of secrets from our life should be our lifestyle; and transparency is the essence of it all.
So, before you take the big step, which is sharing your secrets with others, take a baby step. Come out of your shell and write down your real gender on your FB profile; then write your real name instead of using a phrase such as “Chosen by God” or “A child of God.” And write your real and true whereabouts. Then replace that “Lion image” you posted on your profile with your own cute picture so that we can connect the name with the face. And use the Facebook media to declare the praises of Him who called you from darkness into His wonderful light (1 Peter 2:9).
Then start building a healthy and authentic relationship with other “real” (not virtual) but real believers whom you feel comfortable to open up with and be accountable to (2 Timothy 2:22).
You see, hiding is something we all have learned from our first parents. Adam and Eve sinned against God and they hid themselves from Him (Genesis 3:8). That is why we all find it easy to hide after we sin against God. We hide from others and God; and sometimes we hide from ourselves too. And as long as we continue playing that “hide-and-seek” and “hide-and -cheat” game, we will never experience the freedom we have in Jesus (Galatians 5:1).
Let me leave with this:
“For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) and find out what pleases the Lord. Have NOTHING TO DO with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but RATHER EXPOSE THEM. It is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in SECRET. But everything EXPOSED by the LIGHT becomes visible—and everything that is illuminated becomes a LIGHT.” (Ephesians 5:8-13) (Capitalization added for emphasis; not part of the original Scripture) ///
