Whenever we find moments to be alone, my husband and I spend most of those moments together talking about anything and everything under the sun. As a woman, you have no idea how much I treasure those moments.
We laugh with our silly jokes and try to catch up with our personal life if we miss any; but sometimes we both find ourselves sitting down and talking at a special presence of God. We undoubtedly sense His presence and know that those special moments are divinely calculated and designed by God. And at the end of those moments, we usually cry or end up kneeling down before God with awe and worship.
And this morning, God gave us those special heavenly orchestrated moments. We were talking about so many issues and all of a sudden, God captured our attention with His faithfulness, how He protected and brought us up to this day. Having lots of childhood memories together, we usually tend to look back and count our blessings whenever we sit and talk but this morning; God’s faithfulness captured our hearts and minds in a very special way.
Wow! How faithful God is! Who can fathom God’s faithfulness to those who put their trust on Him? Who? Our Shepherd, who neither sleeps nor slumbers, watches over us; protecting and saving us from ourselves and from the fowler’s snare.
So, let me ask you: Who do you give credit to for you to be here today? Who brought you this far? Who fed you, clothed you, and who kept you alive up to this day? Who?
For me and my house, we once again acknowledge and proclaim that it is the Almighty God we give credit to for helping us see this day. Our Shepherd, our refuge, our fortress, our God, in whom we put all our trust on, is the One who fed us; clothed us; put a roof over our heads and kept us alive. Without Him, we are nothing. We have no hope outside of Him! Jesus Christ is our Faithful Shepherd. He is our Hope, He is our Rest and our Portion.
“Lift up your heads, you gates;
be lifted up, you ancient doors,
that the King of glory may come in.
Who is this King of glory?
The Lord strong and mighty,
the Lord mighty in battle.
Lift up your heads, you gates;
lift them up, you ancient doors,
that the King of glory may come in.
Who is he, this King of glory?
The Lord Almighty—
he is the King of glory.” (Psalm 24:7-10) ///
