Well, as I promised you yesterday, here I am this morning to tell you a little bit about my time in Indianapolis.
But before I do that, I would like to thank all the leaders of the Ethiopian Gospel Believers Church for inviting me to their church for the second time. I appreciate you all very much, especially Wondei who had worked hard to convince me to come regardless of all the schedule changes the church had?. Thank you Wondyie! (BTW, Wondie is the one you see in the pic, on my right side, hugging his pretty pregnant wife? – and Wondei is finishing up his PhD, soon to be Dr. Wondei)
I had a wonderful time with the general congregation and fun and memorable time with singles.
I also spent time with married couples. It is thrilling for me to invest in the lives of newly married couples. You have no idea how excited I was to see young and beautiful married couples and I want you to meet some of the beautiful people I met.
So, from left to right: Alemneh & Fikre (newlywed couple), Wondie & Lidiya (soon to be parents) and poor me, Missy (my hubby was with me in my heart?), and Dani & Kiddy (parents of a 3-year old girl). Yeah, all these handsome young men found their beautiful “lost rib.”
Good for them!
Standing in front of these beautiful people and sharing with them what I know to be true about the biblical meaning and purpose of marriage according to the Bible was like a privilege and an honor given to me by the gracious and merciful God! May the name of Jesus Christ be praised!
This is what I call investing in the next generation, investing not only in the lives of these young couples but in the lives of their yet to be born children.
So, this is my message for today: Those of you single men, don’t waste your precious time. Find your lost rib and make the devil lose the battle. Satan wants to destroy you through your sexuality, he knows that you are weak in that area and God said, “It is not good for a man to be alone.” So, don’t do life as a single man. It is not God’s will for you to be single (unless you are called to be a celibate).
If God said it is not good for you to be single, it will never be good for you to be single. How can viewing porn, masturbating and sleeping around be good to anyone? It can never be!

So, get to work! Get busy, prayerfully looking for your lost rib and when you find her, share the good news with us.
