A4P Guest: Every church these days seems to be full of liars, gossipers, slanderers, cheaters, adulterers, hypocrites, and so on and so forth. So, I am confused; and I don’t know which church to go to anymore.
A4P: Pastor Billy Graham once said: “If you find a perfect church, don’t join it. You’ll spoil it.”
Very true, isn’t it? So, calm your soul with this truth: There ain’t any perfect church on this side of heaven. If there was one, it would be imperfect the day you and I joined it. Why? You and I are very far from being perfect, just like the people you are talking about.
But, here is the good news: Jesus died for us and for the rest of the imperfect church folks (Ephesians 5:25b-27; John 17:19) and He is always at work, molding and making us so that we take His image.
So, get up and go to that imperfect church, full of imperfect people and worship and praise Jesus, the flawless and perfect God. ///
