I love to dream. If I don’t have anything to do, I go to the nearest park, walk and dream. And if you ask me one of my favorite dreams, I will say, “Dreaming about how to tell young girls and young men the biblical truth I know about our sexuality.”

I have many childhood “flashbacks” which used to bother me a lot. These days, they don’t bother me as much since I realized that there is nothing I can do to change them; but they always make me say to myself, “I wish I knew the truth I now know back then.”

And my heart aches whenever I receive messages from young girls and young men such as this one: “I watched one of your YouTube sermons and read some of your articles on Facebook. I wish I found this ministry a little earlier than today.”

So, with my first book, “Beyond the Fairy Tale,” my dream is to reach out to the young people, mainly to the young girls with the truth of God about their sexuality so that they won’t find themselves saying, “I wish I knew the truth a little earlier than today.”

As the Bible says, only the truth can set us free (John 8:32). And not knowing the truth is the set up for future destruction no matter what kind of families or churches we have (Hosea 4:6). It just as simple as that!

So, “Chosen Girls for Such a Time As This” (CG-STAT) is a program we put together to mentor young girls in the area of sexual purity. The text book for this program is my first book, “Beyond the Fairy Tale.”

This program has two guides, Leaders’ Guide and Parents’ Guide. That means any church can launch this program in their local churches. The two guides will lead them well to start and finish the program within six to eight weeks time-frame (the group meets one or two days a week). The program is designed to be given in a small group setting (8 girls in one group with one leader); just like a Bible study or Sunday-school setting.

Even if the target audience for the CG-STAT program is from 11 to 18, the decision first has to be made by the parents to decide whether their daughter can attend the program. Some girls quickly get matured mentally and emotionally and they may be fit for the CG-STAT program at the age of 11. Some girls may need to wait until they turn 12 or 13. The goal is to get to them with the truth before the media train them otherwise. Of course this program benefit girls who are older than 18 if they are willing to start all over again.

We give the two guides for free for anyone who orders eight books. This is to encourage youth ministry leaders to launch the program as it is designed for eight girls in one group. The girls get the full benefit of the program when it is given in a Bible study or Sunday school setting. They will have time to address their questions; hear from their leaders and peers. There are thirteen chapters in the book (the last chapter is Q&A) and at the end of each chapter, there are few questions for the girls to come up with answers. And most of the questions have multiple possible answers so that the girls will have freedom to think outside the box.

Anyone can order the book and read it but as you all may know, sexual purity is a lifestyle that can only be achieved with a like-minded people; with accountability partners and friends. Most of us want to achieve all the praiseworthy virtues of Christianity all by ourselves; but the truth of the matter is; God created us so that we won’t make it alone.

“Flee the evil desires of youth and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.” (2 Timothy 2:22)

The key words from the above verse are: “with those.”

So, this program will give the girls a good opportunity to find friends who have the same moral values and biblical standards so that they can pursue sexual purity together; purity which has no pain, shame, hurt, grieve, regret or despair.
