Oops! I got sidetracked and completely forgot to mention this for the last three or four days. My! Where did the time go? I’m not really sure.
Anyways, here is the message I forgot to mention for the last three days:
Sex before marriage comes in a package with death; death in different “shapes and sizes” such as depression, being haunted by suicidal thoughts, despair, loneliness, sleeplessness, hopelessness, feeling of emptiness, sexually transmitted disease (STD), fear, guilt, shame, regret, loss of joy and peace, loss of opportunity to get married, loss of love, passion and sensitivity to the Spirit and Word of God, sexual dysfunction, and the list goes on and on and on.
Jesus once said: “Very truly I tell you, the one who believes has eternal life. I am the bread of life. Your ancestors ate the manna in the wilderness, yet they died. But here is the bread that comes down from heaven, which anyone may eat and not die. I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.” (John 6:47-51)
Jesus is our Manna we need to eat day in and day out for us to live in Him. Jesus is the Word of God. (Genesis 1:1; John 1:1, 14; Revelation 19:13)
That is the only way we can grow in Christ-likeness. Otherwise we only carry the name “Christian” and live like pagans who have no God.
So, repetition is the only way we live Christianity. We need to read the Word again and again; think about it again and again; preach it to our own hearts again and again. Then the Word takes over our lives. ///
Sometimes when we see someone acting out sexually in the most heinous way possible, it is good to ask, “What must have happened to this person for him/her to embrace this kind of lifestyle?”
This young man was beyond anybody’s reach; but compassionate people, people who have tasted and seen the grace and mercy of Jesus Christ and the power of the Blood of Jesus; people who themselves had led sinful lifestyles but were salvaged by the grace of God, were able to reach out to him. They were able to see this wounded person beyond his lifestyle through the love of Jesus Christ they themselves have experienced in their lives.
Oh, how I love this song. I love it because I see Christ all over it; I see the grace and mercy of God that is revealed on the Cross of Jesus Christ; a merciful God we all need in everyday of our lives.
Isn’t what the Gospel is all about!
Yes, I was touched to the core of my being by this video the night I saw it; and every time I see it, I can’t resist the urge to love and worship Jesus Christ in whom I live, move and have my being.
Thank you everybody for your kind comments you left on my yesterday’s post. I read each and every comment and I appreciate you all very much! God bless you!
And I don’t know if I’ve ever mentioned this to you but I have two sisters who live in London.
So, yesterday night, my little sister took out this picture I’m sharing with you all and gave it to me. I thought I lost this picture a long time ago.
It is the day I’ve received water baptism. My very first pastor, Pastor David Jireh, is the one you see standing next to me. It was Feb, 1992. Time flies, doesn’t it!
I was baptized in the Holy Spirit a week before this water baptism day. I know, most people get baptized by water first and then by the Holy Spirit. Oh, well, who can tell God what to do and when, in what order? No one!
Good Friday is the day we remember the cruel death of Jesus Christ.
Why is that Friday, the day Jesus was brutally beaten up and put to death, called Good?
It was the Friday God chose to pour out all His wrath on His Son. God was happy that His Son was the One to fulfill His will but at the same time, it was the day God the Father turned His face away from His Son, the One He loved. So it was a good but sad Friday for God the Father.
“Life is a fight for territory and once you stop fighting for what you want, what you don’t want will automatically take over.”
~ Les Brown
Know that you are stopping to fight for territory when you stop kneeling down in prayer before the Creator of the universe; stop reading and meditating His Word and stop fellowshipping with sisters and brothers in Christ. ///
