STOP!

If you feel like you found the love of your life, a person so beautiful/handsome who understands you more than anybody else, a person you can talk to for hours without realizing that you talked for six hours and you are already thinking about your wedding and your children you are going to have with this person BUT it’s only been two or three weeks since you met this person, STOP!

You are acting CRAZY! So, stop and take one step back. Then take like three days off from everyone, including yourself and be present before God. Let the Word of God do some kind of mental and emotional check up on you. You know, when we ride in a very speedy train of life, MORE OFTEN THAN NOT, we end up in a ditch where nobody can snatch us out until we harvest all the consequences of our carelessness and mindlessness. ///

#God won’t put us in a position we can’t #conquer!

“No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.” (1 Corinthians 13:10)

I don’t know about you but for me, this verse alone anchors me in safety and security in these dark and trying times. ///

Killing Two Birds with One Stone

A4P Guest: I’ve been married for four years now. My husband and I have two kids, two years old boy and seven month old baby girl. I love my husband and I know he loves me too. I used to be happy with my marriage but not anymore.

A4P: Why aren’t you happy?

A4P Guest: I’m not sure how I can tell you.

A4P: If you can’t tell me, I can’t help you. Most married couples come to this ministry because they have sexual problems. Is that the case with you?

A4P Guest: Yes.

A4P: Okay. Let me hear about it and see if I can be of any help. Continue reading Killing Two Birds with One Stone

Chicago Conference in Springfield. Virginia

The theme or the topic of the conference is:

Set Apart, Make an Impact!

The theme itself stirs up something in me!

The two speakers for this year’s Chicago Conference are Pastor Nebiye and I. I can’t tell you how excited I’m to minister with Pastor Nebiye who is the husband of a beautiful woman and a father of four beautiful children. I met Pastor Nebiye in San Francisco and after we spoke for few minutes, I realized that we had the same passion, similar call, same message and hear this, we read similar books.

So, when I first heard that Pastor Nebiye is the other minister invited to speak at this year’s Chicago Conference, I can’t tell you how excited I was and still am.

So, if you are going to be in the DC area from July 22-25, I invite you to come and worship God with us. ///

Your Census, not theirs, that Matters!

If you read Genesis 18, you find a story where God decided to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah where homosexuality was practiced openly and everywhere. And Abraham pleaded with God so that God wouldn’t destroy those cities.

Why did Abrahma plead with God? Because his nephew, Lot, was living in those cities.

So, Abraham pleaded with God asking a very important question: “Will you sweep away the righteous with the wicked?” (Genesis 18:23) Continue reading Your Census, not theirs, that Matters!

“Are you asking me to stop being a human being?”

I was seeing someone off at the airport like eight years ago. Then I met one guy who got married like a month ago. So, I asked him about his honeymoon and how marriage had been treating him so far.

While he was telling me about his wife and all, one gorgeous woman came down the escalator we were standing next to. I looked at her and she was pretty. Of course, he stopped talking and gave her a long look. Then I waited until he was done staring; but I was standing there wishing he wouldn’t turn to follow her after she passed us.
