Question About VOA came Up in the middle of the Interview

As you all know, My Berhan and I are planning to celebrate the Valentine’s Day this weekend. So we’re getting ready to head out to Baltimore to take part in “the Weekend to Remember Getaway” for married couples with the Family Life Today Ministry folks (familylife.com). I can’t tell you how excited I’m. I’m a bit spent so it will be a good opportunity for me to relax. Continue reading Question About VOA came Up in the middle of the Interview

The Shortest Sermon

“Womanhood” was the title of my teaching I prepared to deliver last Sunday in the Ethiopian Evangelical Church Atlanta. But as I told you last time, God had another message for His people and He took over the program.

Oh, let Him take all our future programs! I love it when He does!

So, the Sunday morning service sermon was interview! Pastor Tolossa interviewed me about my ministry and the pervasive nature of sexual immorality. After that, he gave me the mic and asked me to say few things for four or five minutes.

I thought I spoke for two minutes. Well, I guess I spoke for almost 12 minutes. I watched this program yesterday and find it to be very concise but to the point. I loved it. I am sure you will love it too. Listen to it carefully so that you won’t miss the main message! ///

The User’s Manual

There was a two hour school delay today because of the snow. So, I just came back home after I dropped off my kids to school.

While I was driving my youngest kids to school, I noticed the annoying warning yellow light being flashing on my dashboard. The sign looks like a screwdriver. I didn’t know what it was but I saw this light in the past, probably three times. But every time I see those different lights flashing on, I tell my hubby saying “I think there is something wrong with my car.”

My sons always ask me, “What is this light mom?” Continue reading The User’s Manual

Question about “Let Your Child Live” Post

Question about “Let Your Child Live” Post

A4P: A4P Guest: I have a question on your post, “Let Your Child Live.” That kind of post puts judgment on those who have already done abortion. You see, some people didn’t do it knowing that it is the act of murdering a human being. Some were forced to do it because of different reasons. You have no idea what the woman went through. So, please, don’t write that kind of post again. We are called to comfort others, not judge. We are called to tell others about God’s forgiveness not to judge them. Continue reading Question about “Let Your Child Live” Post

Let Your Child Live!

Abortion stops a heartbeat of a human being God created in His own image and likeness; a human being God said, “I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb.” Jeremiah 1:5.

Don’t put your baby to death! Don’t let them take away your child from you. It is the devil who says, “Get rid of the baby so that your life will be better.”

It is a lie! Your life won’t be better after you shade innocent blood. You may make a mistake and sleep outside marriage but God doesn’t make a mistake. It is God who brings a human being to this planet with a specific plan and purpose; not sex. Let your child live! ///

Back to Snowy and Rainy Maryland!

Glad to be back to Maryland even if Maryland is covered with black ice! Yeah, that is how Maryland rolls these days!

After staying in Las Vegas for the weekend with a weather ranging from 74 to 76 degree, I was very disappointed yesterday afternoon to find myself in Maryland with freezing point weather.

I had a wonderful time with the Ethiopian Christian Fellowship Church folks at Las Vegas! Continue reading Back to Snowy and Rainy Maryland!

Voice of America Radio Show

A4P Guest: Did you hear about the Voice of America radio show that was aired last Sunday, the show which went viral on all social media?

A4P: Yes, I did.

A4P Guest: How come you didn’t say anything about it?

A4P: What do you want me to say about it? Repeat what was aired on the show?

A4P Guest: No, but I was expecting you to mention it in a way to create awareness in the Christian community about this issue.

A4P: I thought that is exactly what I’ve been doing on this page since day one. Continue reading Voice of America Radio Show

Groundhog’s Day!

I know Groundhog’s Day was yesterday but hey, who said that we can’t talk about it today on February 3rd?

Well, I did think about it yesterday but I quickly forgot because only one newscaster talked about it on the news.

Groundhog’s Day is a day of celebration where groundhog comes out of its burrow (hole) and looks for its shadow. If it is sunny and groundhog sees its shadow, it retreats back to its hole knowing that winter is going to stay longer at least for another six weeks. If the weather is cloudy and the groundhog doesn’t see its shadow, it will come out of its hole and enjoy itself; because it knows that spring is around the corner (remember the light groundhog is looking for is a  light which creates no shadow.) 2015 Premarital Class

Well, you know that I don’t like cold weather and snow. So, I’m not that much excited about winter season.

However I have one reason to be very excited about this season and that reason is our church’s yearly premarital class. This class is given every year from Jan to April for soon to be married couples. This is my seventh year to teach in this wonderful class.

I am thrilled to tell you that this year we have thirteen couples! And let me tell you something, the brides are the most beautiful girls you can ever find. I have no idea where these young men found these cute girls. If you want to learn something from these handsome men as to how to find a cute girl, you can come and ask them, I think.
