A4P Guest: “Can a man be so modern, advanced, educated, sophisticated and spiritually matured that he stops looking at a woman?”
A4P: NOT A CHANCE! A MAN CANNOT STOP looking at a woman even if he wants. Asking a man never to look at a woman is like asking him NEVER to be a man. But, don’t miss this; it is right to demand from a man to make a covenant with his eyes never to lustfully look at a woman. (Job 31:1)
This is a biblically right demand because God equipped him with a brand new nature that has ability to say no to sin. (2 Corinthians 5:17; Titus 2:11-12) ///
“If your right eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.” (Matthew 5:29)
God is okay without us. If we all agree to deny Him, He will continue to live forever in glory because He can’t deny Himself! He doesn’t need us for Him to live as God. He is God with or without us. He doesn’t need our agreement or “votes” for Him to be God, King of kings and Lord of lords.
But- – – when it comes to us, we can’t live without Him. Without Him, we perish.
All the “don’ts” in the Bible are there to make all the “do’s” the ultimate source of joy, peace, rest, pleasure and contentment.
Let’s see one quick example regarding sexual fulfillment:
Do’s: “May your fountain be blessed,
and may you rejoice in the wife of your youth.
A loving doe, a graceful deer—
may her breasts satisfy you ALWAYS,
may you ever be INTOXICATED with her love.”
(Proverbs 5:18-19 – capitalization is mine)
Don’t: “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.”
Regardless of our belief or religious affiliation, most of us are curious about sex positions. We want to know if there is any other sex position we know nothing about. If we are religious people, we want to know which sex positions are considered “holy” and which ones are considered “unholy” or “sinful”. Sure we want to live for God and we want to do the next right thing.
In the book of Song of Solomon, the book that mostly talks about love and sex (the best book that pictures the love and oneness of Jesus and His bride, the Church), we find more than one place where “sex positions” are implied; Song 2:6; 8:3 and 8:6a. Other than these verses, I don’t know if there is any other Bible verse that deals with “sex positions”.
You may ask: “Why didn’t God list all the biblically accepted sex positions in the Bible?”
“For years, years and years I was addicted to pornography”
“It was my secret that nobody knew and that allowed to grow and it got bad”
“My wife literally said, “I don’t know you anymore. I’m outta here.” And that changed me”
“I literally had to go to rehab for it”
“I did not get help so I could get my wife back. . . I got help because I needed it . . . my wife decided to stay with me because she knew I was repentant; she knew I was going to get help; she knew I was sorry. Let me tell you, IT IS NOT ENOUGH TO JUST ASK FORGIVENESS. It is always necessary to make amends; fix the problem, do whatever you can to fix the problem.” – and Terry said more.
