When a wife says to her husband, “I feel so stressed and down,” she is not asking him to fix her, or fix the conflict she has at her job or fix her kids who might be driving her crazy.
No, no, no! She is not asking him that. All she is asking him is this: “Can you show me some love so that I can pick myself up to fix my problems and be respectful towards you?”
There are great purposes why God created marriage, a covenantal relationship between one man and one woman. And one of the zillion purposes of marriage is to raise kids who are mentally and emotionally healthy.
Healthy marriages are like “Petri Dishes” to grow “healthy and godly children” on. When that “Petri Dish” that good ground is disturbed, the ones who suffer the most are kids.

Sometimes, I find similar questions dropped off in my inbox from different people at the same time.
And this week, I have received one particular question from different married women; and that question is regarding “loss of sexual pleasure after childbirth”, (which is clinically called anorgasmia).
From all the things God commanded His people, the Israelites, this one command got my attention last week:

One Saturday afternoon, I bought a beautiful dress and couldn’t wait to show it to my husband. So after we put the kids to bed, I said “Okay, now let me show you my beautiful dress I bought today.”
So I wore the dress and said “Okay, here we go.”
Today is the day I give out an amazing gift to the person who is going to drop off his/her nice comment on the last re-post before mid-night (of course on Eastern Time).
