I read this on Facebook yesterday (actually watched the story in a short video clip) and I want to share it with you. I made few changes to the story though so it fits right into the message of this page.
So, a man gets attracted to three girls at the same time. He knows that he cannot marry three of them. So, he struggles to choose one.
A4P Guest: I am 27 years old and my girlfriend is 26. I am pursuing medicine, soon to graduate. I plan to pursue further studies to do my PhD in medical research. My girlfriend, who loves Jesus Christ very much and loves life, on the other hand, has absolutely no interest in any form of formal education. She wants to be a businesswoman. Her parents have business and both of her parents have no higher education and she wants to follow their footsteps. I told her that I would pay for her school if she goes to school but she is not interested at all. Missy, please understand me. I want an educated wife, not that I want her to pursue medicine, but at least I want her to have a degree or something. So, after I think about it long and hard, I decided to call it quits. Am I a jerk?
Sexual attraction between two Christian lovers is healthy as long as it is not allowed to overrule their desire to honor God in their lives. When it is allowed to overrule and reject the Word of God, their sexual attraction turns into lust, not love. Lust means wanting to have sex with someone you are not married to (Matthew 5:27-28).
A4P Guest: I’m a 36 year-old woman and I’ve been dating a man (38 years old) for a couple years now. We both are born again Christians. This year, I was expecting him to propose to me but he doesn’t even talk about marriage at all. I told him in several occasions how much I desire to get married. But he usually changes the subject and avoids it totally. What do you advise me to do?
A4P Guest: I’m a 22 year old woman and the man I’m seeing is a 27-year old man. We met in our church’s yearly young adults’ retreat program and it’s been a year now since we’ve been dating officially. I love him very much but he flirts with every girl in our church. A4P Guest: I am 23 years old, fourth year university student. I haven’t dated any girl so far and I think I know the reason. Well, I am a born-again Christian but I always find myself attracted to girls who are not born-again Christians. Frankly, I don’t find born-again Christian girls that much attractive. You know how the saying goes, “A girl who makes you feel relaxed is the girl you need to pursue.” Well, I don’t relax around Christian girls that much but whenever I’m around girls who are not born-again Christians, I see that spark of attraction. What do I need to do? I know what the Bible says about being yoked with unbelievers but I don’t know what to do with my feeling.

Yes, I was in New York last weekend at the Emmanuel Worship Center (EWC) and I had a wonderful time with the people of God there.

But unfortunately both of my parents are against it because of his race. Is interracial marriage against the word of God?

A4P Guest: I have a quick question. So, my girlfriend is an Ethiopian girl. I love her very much and she loves me too. So, my question is this: What’s wrong with having sex before marriage? I don’t think we need to sanctify our flesh here on earth since the Bible says, “flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God” (1 Corinthians 15:50) and “The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing,” (John 6:63). So, as long as my girlfriend and I keep our soul and spirit holy, sex should be an okay thing since it is done on the flesh. So, can you give me few more verses to go over with my girlfriend since she is struggling to accept this truth?
