“Better to live in a desert
than with a quarrelsome and nagging wife.” (Proverbs 21:19)
Why?
A nagging wife kills her husband very easily; so he is better off living in the wilderness than living with her.
But a wife of noble character lengthens her husband’s life. As the Bible says, she is her husband’s crown.
“A wife of noble character is her husband’s crown” (Proverbs 12:4a).
But no wife can have this noble character by going to school or by her willpower but by cultivating very intimate relationship with the Spirit and the word of God. The “fruit” of this intimate relationship results in noble character.
Oh, how wise is a wife whose source of strength is the LORD! ///
