Praise the LORD!

I’m back to Maryland from Austin, Texas. I had a wonderful weekend with the people of God!

But first, I would like to say thank you for all your kind happy birthday and happy Ethiopia New Year wishes most of you dropped at my picture yesterday! Appreciate you all very much!

And next, I would like to say thank you for the leaders of the Ethiopian Evangelical Christian Church (EECC) in Austin, TX. Thank you, Pastor Melaku and all the elders of EECC, for having me for the weekend at your church. Thank you very much and may God bless you!

Thank you Lemlem Berhane and many sisters in Christ who have worked hard to make my stay in Austin special. Appreciate you all very much and may God bless you!

My very special friends, Yonas Gerbretsadik who drove over to Austin from Houston just to see me and Dr. Kibraeb G. who just moved to Austin from Houston, made my stay in Austin very special one. Thank you so much my friends/brothers in Christ for taking a good care of me. Appreciate you both very much!

Okay, I am trying to adjust to the weather change here in Maryland. Hurricane Harvey and Irma didn’t visit Austin. So, OMG! Austin is blessed by a gorgeous weather. Oh, well! It is okay. Maryland is nice too; it is just cloudy todayL.

Okay, before I start complaining about my state, Maryland, let me end it here. Before I do though, let me share with you a clip of my message I delivered last Saturday.

For those who don’t understand Amharic, this is what I’m saying:

The most romantic husband is the one who protects his wife from her own kids, extended families, neighbors and church families. When he protects his wife, his wife finds it easy to submit to him; to make herself available to her husband’s needs, including his sexual needs.

Yeah, loving your wife includes protecting her because your call doesn’t stop at “Love your wife,” but ends at as Jesus died for the church, you too are called to die for your wife as you protect her (Ephesian 5:28-30). Have a blessed Tuesday! ///
