“Although I hope to come to you soon, I am writing you these instructions so that, if I am delayed, you will know how people ought to conduct themselves in God’s household, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of the truth. Beyond all question, the mystery from which true godliness springs is great:

He appeared in the flesh,
was vindicated by the Spirit,
was seen by angels,
was preached among the nations,
was believed on in the world,
was taken up in glory.” (1 Timothy 3:14-16)

God’s household, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of the truth! Did you hear that?

Paul is writing to Timothy about how people ought to know how to conduct themselves in God’s household! While I was expecting him to come up with a list of code of conducts, Paul just nailed it with one word, the mystery of God, namely, JESUS CHRIST! (Colossians 2:2)

JESUS CHRIST, the mystery of God from which true godliness springs!

No, we have no list of things to do and not to do but we have CHRIST to follow after! He is our line Leader and we just fix our eyes on and follow Him! That is the only thing we ought to do in order for us to know how to conduct ourselves in God’s household! Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our Faith! ///
