For those of you who don’t understand Amharic, this is my message with a little added point:
The myth about solo-sex says this: “Solo-sex is like scratching your head when it itches.”
The truth of the matter is, solo-sex is not like scratching your head. When your head itches, you scratch it and the itch feeling will go away. After that, the itch doesn’t ask you to scratch your head again in an hour or ten times a day; but solo-sex does.
And, no one needs to think about someone else to scratch their heads. They scratch their heads without thinking about anything and anybody. But solo-sex, unless a person “thinks and lusts” after someone in his/her heart, it can’t happen. And about lust, Jesus said this:
“But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.” (Matthew 5:28)
According to the above verse, solo-sex makes a person an adulterer before God. So, Paul advises us this way: “But since sexual immorality is occurring, each man should have sexual relations with his own wife, and each woman with her own husband.” (1 Corinthians 7:2) – This is in a way what Paul is saying (as I understood it): Don’t stay single; rather, marry and have sex with your spouse so that you will stay away from sexual immorality which is occurring everywhere. ///
